We all want our faces to look and feel amazing, but store-bought face masks aren’t always the best option; plus, there’s the possibility you might be allergic to the ingredients and have a reaction. Therefore, consider these face mask recipes.

A homemade face mask is a great choice for people that want to save money, but there are thousands of DIY recipes for face masks recipes to try and it can be hard to find the best one. That’s where I come in; I’ve scoured the internet for the best face mask recipes for you to try at home, including some of my tried and tested personal favourites.

Banana Honey Mask

Ingredients
– 1 medium banana
– 1/4 cup plain yoghurt
– 2 tbsp honey

Mash up a medium banana and mix it into a bowl with one-quarter cup of plain yoghurt and two tablespoons of honey. Mix it into a fine paste and then apply to your face for 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse the mask off with cold water.

This is one of my all-time favourite face mask recipes for smooth skin.

Cocoa Dream Hydration Mask

Ingredients
– 1 tbsp cocoa powder
– 1 tbsp honey
– 1 avocado

This homemade facial mask is extremely hydrating, a fantastic antioxidant and is a great pore refiner and skin soother. Mash one-quarter of the avocado, stir in one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of cocoa powder, mix into a paste and apply your face for 10 minutes before washing off with warm water.

Lemon and Sugar Mask

Ingredients
– 1/2 fresh lemon
– 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tbsp organic honey

This is one of the best face masks for dry skin that you can try and it’s super easy to make. Mix half of the fresh lemon with half a cup of granulated sugar, one tablespoon of olive oil and one tablespoon of honey. Work it into a fine paste and then leave it on your face for five minutes.

Soothing Oatmeal Mask

Ingredients
– 1/3 cup instant oatmeal
– 1/2 cup of hot water
– 1 tbsp honey
– 2 tbsp plain yoghurt

If you’re looking for great natural face masks to treat eczema, you should try this. To make it, add the half cup of hot water to one-third cup of instant oatmeal and wait a few minutes for it to plump up. Add one tablespoon of honey and two tablespoons of plain unsweetened yoghurt. Place it in a blender and mix until it’s smoothed out then slather it on your face and leave it for 10 minutes.
